ELMS - Video Highlights of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

The fifth round of the European Le Mans Series took place at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) this weekend. Due to inclement weather, the race lasted only two hours. United Autosports won its first race of the season and G-Drive Racing went home with the championship title.

The 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was only half as long as usual, torrential rain having caused Race Control to call a halt two hours into the race.

United Autosports kept its head above water in the deluge and Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerque drove the #22 Ligier JS P217-Gibson to victory. The  DragonSpeed #21 Oreca 07-Gibson and the Panis-Barthez Compétition #23 Ligier JS P217-Gibson completed the winning trio. For G-Drive Racing, it was a challenging race that included a stop-and-go penalty for contact with the Proton Competition #77 Porsche 911 RSR. But nothing could stop the team laying claim to the ELMS crown.

United Autosports pulled off a double triumph with an LMP3 win for John Falb and Scott Andrews in the #2 Ligier JS P3-Nissan. The LMGTE class was topped by Ebimotors, the team that finished sixth at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, with Bret Curtis, Riccardo Pera and Fabio Babini in command. For these two classes, the outcome of the championship hangs on the last round of the season at Portimão, Portugal on 28 October.

Bonus! As well as the highlights, you get to go for a virtual spin of Spa in the High Class Racing #49 Dallara P217-Gibson. Enjoy the ride!
