The winner of the ELMS LM P3 title received an automatic invitation the following year to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, subject to respecting certain conditions, but the same will not be true for its successor, which must pass through the typical selection process in requesting an invitation, and the Graff Racing team intends to do just that.
In addition to the Oreca 07, compliant with the new LM P2 technical regulations in effect in 2017, Pascal Rauturier's outfit is looking to enter once again an LM P3 prototype in pursuit of the European championship title, and hopes to retain the drivers it has trained, such as Enzo Guibbert, Paul Petit and Eric Trouillet, which allowed the team to claim the second step on the final LM P3 podium.
In order to mount a successful 2017 campaign, the Graff Racing team - which participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 11 times between 1980 and 1993 - has reinforced its technical staff and facilities, and plans to start its testing campaign in January, with the delivery of Oreca 07 scheduled to take place at the end of December.
