Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen: FIA WEC GT World Champions and winners at Spa

Porsche GT Team drivers Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen, FIA GT Endurance World Champions on the heels of the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, have won along with Richard Lietz the 24 Hours of Spa at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by the GPX Racing team.

Porsche GT Team drivers Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen were awarded the FIA Endurance GT Drivers Trophy in June after the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 2018-2019 FIA WEC Super Finale. Along with Richard Lietz, the two teammates have just won the 24 Hours of Spa, the seventh round of the Blancpain GT Series, at the wheel of GPX Racing's Porsche 911 GT3 R. Second place went to Rowe Racing's #998 Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy, drivers with Porsche GT Team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well. Rain was a major factor during the 24 Hours of Spa, bringing out the red flag and stopping the race for five hours 40 minutes due to poor driving conditions.

Next, Estre and Christensen will head to the 4 Hours of Silverstone, the first race fo the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship season set for 1 September, once again at the wheel of the #92 Porsche 911 RSR.
