12 Hours of Sebring

At the opening of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup Team Oreca Matmut will race again the USA The French team who won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2000 with the Dodge Viper, and has never hidden their interest in motor sport in America.

Hugues de Chaunac (President): "In Europe, the focus is on the technical aspect. In America, it focuses more on the show. That's what appeals to me. Whatever the discipline, twe have had a popular success. That's what excites me! I remember spectacular and exciting racing , but also very close to the fans. Oreca burned bright and wrote one of the most beautiful chapters of its history with the Dodge Viper. Oreca had two incredible years. This experience has enabled us to discover a new world, a new conception of racing We enjoyed this adventure which has affected us. "

David Floury (Technical Director): "This is not original to say that it is a legend, with a great history, legendary drivers (Steve McQueen, Paul Newman), the amazing cars (Chaparral) and big manufacturers. The 12 Hours of Sebring has become a benchmark. The circuit is unique and that adds to its charm. The track is very bumpy, grip changes from one session to another and during the race. Finally, there are corners that are real challenges, like Turn 1 and 17. "

The 12 Hours of Sebring will be held on the 19th March.
