On Thursday, 9th June the American actor, will drive the Mazda 787B that won Le Mans in 1991 at the Circuit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It will be on the 20th anniversary of the Mazda victory at Le Mans, Patrick Dempsey. who has been fascinated by the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and in which he participated in 2009 driving a Ferrari F430 (30th overall), the actor known for his role in Grey's Anatomy and driver of the Japanese marque will have the honour of driving the 787B that was victorious in 1991.
Taking a detour to Le Mans from a race at Watkins Glen in which he participated this weekend and another that he will in two weeks at Elkhart Lake - and shortly after a stint at the Festival de Cannes - Dempsey will be honoured to drive this wonderful machine on Thursday 9th June at 18:40 before qualifying starts. The schedule remains to be confirmed.
The actor should also participate in the Mazda press conference on Friday morning, scheduled at 10 am in the Dunlop reception.
"A member of the Mazdaspeed family since 2007, I driove an RX-8 Tri-rotor in the Grand Am GT Championship", said the actor.
