The Automobile Club de l’Ouest chose to entrust the design agency Leroy Tremblot with the creation of the new visual identity of the Endurance World Championship by the FIA​​. Presentation of the logo by its creators.

The shape of the logo reflects the values ​​of modernity, reliability and technology of the new FIA World Championship.

To enable the championship to develop its identity in motorsports and to be easily recognised and taken around the world, the symbol WEC (World Endurance Championship) is both the contraction of the name and a memorable image. This mark evokes the concept of performance and speed. The exclusive design of the letters reinforces the idea of ​​an entirely new league. By its graphics, it illustrates the sophistication of of carbon fibre and aerodynamics of prototypes engaged in endurance racing.

The shades of blue symbolize the passage from day to the dark of night, a feature of endurance. Green introduces the environmental dimension, major concern of the organizers of the World Endurance Championship, of the FIA ​​and the manufacturers who take part in it. The terminology "endurance" is also expressed in green. The distinctive "A" in endurance, echos the logo of the ACO, promoter and organizer of the championship, referring to the legendary Dunlop bridge at Le Mans, the birthplace of endurance racing.
