Pole sitters in the prototype classes gave their thoughts on qualifying.
Luis Diaz (#055 Honda), fastest LM P2: "To achieve a good time, we had to find a clear window. We met with concerns early in the week, but the guys have worked hard to prepare the car. It's nice to beat Signatech-Nissan, who worked day and night, including Europe. We do not have sufficient speed to pass the slower cars on a straight, so it's a real challenge to overcome, but that's what makes the charm of endurance. I think we'll have fun tomorrow! "
Anthony Davidson (Peugeot 908 #7), fastest LM P1: "It's nice to set the pole in consecutive years. So far I have done the same as last year, but last year I finished second this year, I want to climb a step higher! I spent seven weeks with my terrible shoulder injury and I never imagined that I will be in this place today. This is the first time I've teamed with Sebastien (Bourdais) and Simon (Pagenaud) and we are a good trio. "
