Rebellion Racing joins forces with TVR and unveils its livery for 2018-2019 Super Season

The 2018-2019 World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) Super Season will kick off in a few short weeks on May 5th in Belgium! Starting tomorrow, the competitors will arrive in Le Castellet, France for the WEC official tests known as the Prologue. For the occasion, the Rebellion Racing team has just revealed the livery of its R13-Gibson and announced its partnership with famous British luxury sports car manufacturer TVR.

Rebellion Racing will field two cars in LMP1 for the 2018-2019 Super Season which includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 16th and 17th. The two Rebellion R13-Gibsons designed by ORECA will be driven by André Lotterer, Neel Jani and Bruno Senna (#1) and Mathias Beche, Thomas Laurent and Gustavo Menezes (#3). For the WEC Prologue to be held this Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France, the car's livery has been unveiled.

Also, the Swiss team announced its partnershp with iconic British high-end sport cars manufacturer, TVR. This year's edition of the 24 Hours on June 16th and 17th will not be the popular marque's first participation in the legendary race. A TVR Grantura took the start at Le Mans back in 1962, and after a long hiatus, TVR returned in 2003 through 2005 in the GT2 class with its 400Rs.

TVR chairman Les Edgar: "Endurance racing is a key part of TVR's DNA, and our role as the primary automotive partner of Rebellion Racing TVR gives us a great opportunity to return to the sport for the first time in 13 years. It also allows TVR to work with a competitive racing team and apply the output to the development and production of not only TVR road cars, but also our future one-make series and track cars. In this respect, the opportunity to work alongside Gibson, ORECA and Motul is tremendous."

After a 13-year absence, TVR is about to make a smashing comeback in endurance racing and especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans with two Rebellion R13s contenders for overall victory facing off against none other than Toyota! The car will hit the track for the first time tomorrow morning in Le Castellet. Only one R13 will be present as the other is in the process of being assembled.
