The final of the World Championship Sidecar promised and delivered! After a close fight with Steinhausen-Cluze, the duo Reeves-Hawes won the title!
There were four crews who could take the world crown: two English, a German and a Finnish. The latter, led by Pekka Paivarinta, seized the lead in the first lap but moments later had a frightening incident ... Fortunately without serious consequences.
The race then turned into a duel between Tim Reeves and Jörg Steinhausen. Both riders exchanged positions repeatedly, giving specators an unforgettable experience. After 18 laps of madness, it was ultimately the British duo who were first under the chequered flag, earning his fourth world title (2005, 2006, 2007, 2012).
