Intercontinental Le Mans Cup - Autosport 1000km of Silverstone
The first two titles of the Le Mans Series in 2010 were decided at the end of the 1000km of Hungaroring by Larbre in LM GT1.
When born in the Le Mans Endurance Series in 2004, the team founded by Jack Leconte were already one of the foremost experts in GT (triple FIA GT Champion 2000-2002). Their record is equally exemplary in LMES and Le Mans Series, with three titles won with three different cars: the Ferrari 550 Maranello in 2004, the Aston Martin DBR9 in 2006 and the Saleen S7-R in 2010 with its drivers Gabriele Gardel and Patrice Goueslard.
For Larbre, the challenge of the Autosport 1000km of Silverstone will be to provide a final gallant last stand in the Saleen S7-R and their last appearance in the Le Mans Series, and a final swan-song before the predicted demise of the LM GT1 category, in what will also be the inaugural Le Mans Intercontinental Cup. A challenge worthy of a team already in the history books of GT and endurance racing.
