Steve McQueen - Documentary film "The Man & Le Mans" now available on DVD and Blu-ray

One of the focal points of the must-see documentary "Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans" is the American actor's passion for motorsports, especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is ripe with anecdotes and never-before-seen footage collected over the course of filming the movie "Le Mans," a very unique time in the actor's life.

Nearly 37 years after his death, this documentary focuses on the adventure filming "Le Mans" directed by Lee H. Katzin and starring Steve McQueen in 1971. The movie's box office underwhelmed against expectations upon its release, but has since become a cult favorite of motorsports fans across the globe.

Through a variety of anecdotes, photos and previously unreleased footage, "The Man & Le Mans" retraces the filming of the movie and evidences the passion the American star felt for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drivers who participated in the filming - such as Derek Bell, David Piper and Jonathan Williams (who drove the Porsche 908 specially-equipped with an on-board camera for stunning shots on the track) - and even writers, technicians and assistants to McQueen are interviewed in this documentary. Special contributions were made by his wife Neile Adams, as well his son Chad McQueen, shown taking part in the Le Mans Classic in July, 2014 and loving it!

The box set includes "The Man & Le Mans" and as a bonus, "I am Steve McQueen: The King of Cool" all about the actor's life and his passion for moto and endurance racing!
