Despite the accident of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro number 2 of Loïc Duval-Tom Kristensen-Allan McNish they retained the fastest time of the morning, followed by the sister cars of Fässler-Lotterer-Tréluyer and Gené-di Grassi-Jarvis and the two Toyota TS030 Hybrid. In LM P2, Alpine (n°36) marked the return of the marque at the 24 Heures, by beating the Zytek-Nissan of Jota Sport (n°38) and the Morgan-Nissan number 24 of OAK Racing. In GT, Aston Martin Racing lead the two classes LM GTE Pro et LM GTE Am, with Vantages n°97 et 95.
