The 2020-2021 FIA World Endurance Championship calendar officialised

The FIA World Motor Sport Council convened today in Geneva and finalised the 2020-2021 FIA World Endurance Championship calendar, with the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled for 12-13 June.

The 2020-2021 FIA World Endurance Championship season will include the following eight rounds: 

  • 05/09/2020: 6 Hours of Silverstone (U.K.)
  • 04/10/2020: 6 Hours of Monza (Italy)
  • 01/11/2020: 6 Hours of Fuji (Japan)
  • 05/12/2020: 8 Hours of Bahrain (Bahrain)
  • 06/02/2021: 6 Hours of Kyalami (South Africa)
  • 19/03/2021: 1000 Miles of Sebring (8 hours) (U.S.)
  • 24/04/2021: 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium)
  • 12-13/06/2021: 24 Hours of Le Mans (France)

Additionally, the FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved a common platform for endurance racing's head class: Le Mans Hypercar and LMDh may can run in the same class of the FIA WEC.
