Since it was founded in 1906 the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has always made a point of creating motor racing events for the largest number of people who want to experience the kind of excitement provided by Le Mans-style endurance races.
This weekend the ACO is organising either directly or indirectly events on three continents!

In Japan, the second round of the newly-created Asian Le Mans Series Championship is taking place on the Fuji circuit at the foot of the famous Mount Fuji. The 3-hour race will start on Sunday 22nd September at 14h00 local time (07h00 in France).

In the United States the International Sports Car Weekend is being organised on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas) at the same time. Two endurance races run under the Le Mans label will be held at this meeting: the eighth round of the American Le Mans Series – the North American equivalent of the Asian Le Mans Series – (start on Saturday at 15h45 local time, 22h45 in France), and the fifth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship of which the ACO is the promoter and organiser. The start of the Circuit of the Americas 6 Hours will be given on Sunday 22nd September at 11h00 local time (18h00 French time).

In the hub of this system at the foot of the Sarthe headquarters of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the 36th Le Mans 24 Hours for Motor Bikes will be held on the Bugatti circuit: the field will be unleashed at 15h00 on Saturday.
All these events can be followed live on the Automobile Club de l’Ouest internet sites: lemans.org, 24h-lemans.com, 24h-moto.com and the ACO Web TV: lemans-tv.com. And for the different series the following sites: fiawec.com, alms.com, asianlemansseries.com.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest : “This weekend is a historic occasion for the Automobile Club de l’Ouest! For 107 years our club has organised both motor car and motor bike races, and it’s the first time that events inspired by our emblematic course, the Le Mans 24 Hours, are taking place on three continents simultaneously. This shows that we’ve got it right where endurance races are concerned as they’re enjoying increasing success with spectators all over the world !
