Toyota Gazoo Racing presents a new aerodynamics kit for Spa and the 24 Hours of Le Mans

This weekend, Toyota Gazoo Racing will be racing the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, sixth round of the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship. The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled a new aero package for the Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

Despite a chaotic season due to lockdowns and other consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps remains the dress rehearsal for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will be run on 19–20 September this year, behind closed doors. For the first time this season, the Toyota TS050 Hybrids #7 and #8 will be fitted with a low-downforce kit, especially suited to circuits with long straights. Be ready for some pure speed from both cars. Of course, the kit has been tested on the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet, but there’s nothing like a proper race to put a machine through its paces.

Toyota Gazoo Racing will be aiming for a fourth win in succession at Spa, enough to streak ahead of Rebellion Racing in the World Endurance Championship. There are currently 33 points between the two teams. The fight for the top spot in the drivers championship is also a close-run thing. There are only five points between Conway/Kobayashi/López and Buemi/Nakajima/Hartley.

Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps Entry List

The race starts at 13:30 on Saturday.
