Video : A lap with Bertrand Baguette

At just 27 years old, Baguette will drive for the second consecutive year with the Le Mans based OAK Racing team.

Belgian driver Baguette began his career in karting. In 2003, and competed in numerous championships in both France and across Europe, winning the title of champion of Belgium. That same year, he moved to Formula Renault, and continued racing single seater cars except for a brief stint in 2011 FIA GT1 for two rounds of the World Championship. In 2011 he scored a seventh place finish in the Indianapolis 500. The young Belgian was noticed by OAK Racing in 2012, and he joined the team of Jacques Nicolet, taking part in the FIA World Endurance Championship. For its first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans he was forced to retire shortly before seven o'clock in the morning despite running at a cautious pace. Meanwhile, the team raced in LM P2 in the European Le Mans Series, where Bertrand Baguette won a great victory at the 6 Hours of Donington.

In 2013, Bertrand Baguette is retained by Jacques Nicolet. He teams-up with drivers Martin Plowman and Ricardo Gonzalez at the wheel of the Nissan-Morgan No.35, while the sister car (No. 24) is driven by Olivier Pla, Alex Brundle and David Heinemeier-Hansson. These two cars face the challenge of disputing the LM P2 trophy at Le Mans and the rest of the FIA World Endurance Championship 2013.

While we await the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place on 22 and 23 June, Bertrand Baguette tested his new car in the Official Testing for the World Championship on the 29th and 30th March. In the video above, we share a lap of the circuit (commentary in French).
