WEC - 6 Hours of Fuji qualifying highlights (video)

The results of the two qualifying sessions are in: the three manufacturers are in the top three spots in LM P1, and the race is shaping up to be quite exciting in every class.

In LM P1, Audi clinched its fourth consecutive pole position, this time with the #8 Audi R18 driven by Lucas di Grassi, Loïc Duval and Oliver Jarvis. It came in slightly ahead of the #1 Porsche 919 Hybrid of the world champions. Third position was nabbed by the #5 Toyota TS050 Hybrid which was fastest mid-session. In LM P2, new pole position for G-Drive Racing's #26 Oreca 05 Nissan ahead of the #36 Alpine A460 (in the lead in the championship) and Extreme Speed Motorsport's #30 Ligier with its adjusted driver line-up (Antonio Giovinazzi - selected for the FIA WEC Rookie Test in the Audi R18 - Giedo Van der Garde and Sean Gelael) and its new colours.

There is a huge battle brewing in LM GTE Pro, with sizable gaps, and so far the two Fords (#66 and #67) have proven fastest. In the LM GTE Am class, the #98 Aston Martin was fastest and came in ahead of the #83 Ferrari driven by French drivers Emmanuel Collard and François Perrodo, and Larbre Compétition's #50 Corvette C7R.

The top three cars in each class are separated by less than two-tenths. With such narrow gaps, don't miss this seventh round of the season! It will last six hours and start at 11:00 a.m. (local time) and 3:00 a.m. in the U.K.
