Up until now only head drivers were announced - in compliance with the sporting regulations - at the Automobile Club de l'Ouest press conference on February 2nd, but yesterday the Chinese outfit revealed the two trios confirmed to take the wheel of its Oreca 07s...with one choice recruit: Oliver Jarvis.
These last few years, the Brit raced with Audi Sport Team Joest in LM P1, which allowed him to claim the third step on the podium three times between 2012 and 2016. In the wake of the German marque's retirement from endurance racing, Oliver Jarvis moved into GT with Bentley, Audi's sister house, but expressed his desire to take the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the seventh time. He will share the wheel of the #38 Oreca with Ho-Pin Tung and Thomas Laurent, who will debut in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) after some time in the ELMS.
The #37 sister car will be entrusted to owner-driver David Cheng, Alex Brundle and Tristan Gommendy who made the choice to compete in the 2015/2016 Asian Le Mans Series season to earn a seat in the world championship. He will be at the start of the 6 Hours of Silverstone on April 16th for the kickoff of the 2017 season.
