WEC - Interview with Kamui Kobayashi, Kazuki Nakajima and André Lotterer (video)

It’s nearly time for the 7th round of the World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Fuji. The cars are already in place and some drivers have already arrived too, among them Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima of Toyota and Audi driver André Lotterer.

Nakajima in the #5 Toyota TS050 Hybrid has no hope of winning the drivers’ trophy this year. However, on paper, the other two are in with a chance. André Lotterer, who drives the #7 Audi R18 stands in fifth place on 78 points and would have to make up 52 points to beat leaders Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb, drivers of the #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid. Kamui Kobayashi is a little closer. He and teammates Stéphane Sarrazin and Mike Conway trail the leaders by 38 points. It may sound a lot, but a win is worth 25 points and with three rounds still to go, there is still everything to play for.

Watch the video to see how the three drivers feel in the run-up to the 6 Hours of Fuji on 16 October.
