The scrutineering took place all day Thursday and will finish up Friday at 9:15 a.m. (all times mentioned are U.K. times). After the traditional briefings for drivers and team managers, the cars and drivers will take the track for the first time at 11:55 a.m. for a 90-minute free practice session, all classes included. After a brief break, competitors will go into the second free practice session scheduled from 3:55 p.m. to 5:25 p.m.

There is no night session at Silverstone since the race takes place solely during the day, so the third free practice session will take place Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., a final rehearsal before qualifying around lunch time. Unlike free practice sessions, qualifying sessions do not group together all competitors. The LM GTE Pro and Am cars will go first at noon for 20 minutes. LM P1 and LM P2 class prototypes will follow at 12:30 p.m. for 20 minutes as well.

Sunday will begin with the pit-walk from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.: all ticket-holding spectators can access pit lane free of charge and get near the cars about to hit the track for six hours. During this time, drivers will be available for photos and an autograph session from 10:05 a.m. to 10:35 a.m.

Previously, the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) competitors will have turned the track over to the young guns of the European Formula 3 for their third race of the weekend from 9:15 a.m. to 9:50 a.m., the first two having taken place on Saturday at 10:20 a.m. and 1:10 p.m..

The start of the 6 Hours of Silverstone will be given on Sunday, April 12th at noon. May the skies be kind to the spectators and competitors: the weather forecast is calling for a partly cloudy sky…
