The French team has unveiled the new design of their two LMP2 prototypes destined for the 2019 European Le Mans Series season. The first testing sessions are scheduled soon at the Barcelona and Le Castellet circuits.
This year, IDEC SPORT will compete in the European Le Mans Series with two cars in the LMP2 class. The French team is also looking to take the start at the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 15-16 June 2019.
IDEC Sport came out of the gate strong last night, clinching provisional pole position in the LMP2 class thanks to Paul-Loup Chatin. The team is now focusing on achieving a good result in the race. Two things could work in their favor: its cohesion and team spirit.
IDEC Sport Racing made its début in the European Le Mans Series this year, fielding the #28 Ligier JS P2 with Patrice and Paul Lafargue and Dimitri Enjalbert at the wheel. The team came 10th in the LM P2 Teams championship (19 points). The goal for 2017 is to enter the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
