24 Hours of Le Mans - Test Day is under way

The 62 cars entered for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans next weekend have taken to the track for Test Day. Teams have two sessions (09:00-13:00 and 14:00-19:00) in which to perfect their setup. Test Day is an important stage in pre-race preparations.

United Autosports, winner of the LMP2 class last year, was first out on track with the #32 Oreca 07-Gibson.

All eyes will be on the Hypercars today as they reveal their pace for the first time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new endurance racing premier league kicks off with Toyota, Glickenhaus and Alpine in a three-way battle.
Toyota Gazoo Racing’s José Maria López banked the first noteworthy time in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid with 3:32.201. The Argentine bettered the sister car’s current best of 3:34.901.

Test Day is behind closed doors this year. Gates open to spectators on Wednesday 18 August from Free Practice onwards. Go to live timing to keep track of the action.
