The 8 Hours of Bahrain served as the last round of Season 8 of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The championship world titles, trophies and other special awards were distributed post-race. Check out photos from the event below.
8 Hours of Bahrain winners Conway, Kobayashi and López also won the FIA World Endurance Drivers trophy. This was López's second world title after the one he earned in the WTCC, a distinction that now joins him with Alonso and Solberg, previous winners of FIA world titles in two different disciplines (F1 and WEC for Alonso, WRC and WRX for Solberg).
United Autosports and the #22 driver line-up won the trophy in the LMP2 class, and Aston Martin's drivers Sørensen and Thiim were crowned GT world champions. In LMGTE Am, the trio Perrodo-Collard-Nielsen earned the title. AF Corse, the team of 2020 Spirit of Le Mans winner Amato Ferrari, was granted one of the special awards of the ceremony.
