Asian LMS - Malaysia to host the last round of the 2017-2018 season

The 4 Hours of Sepang, the last round of the current Asian Le Mans Series, will be decisive. Only three weeks to wait now before the last invitations for the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans are allocated. So far, the series has not produced a clear leader and everything hangs on Sepang!

All three races so far have been won by Jackie Chan DC Racing by Jota Sport. However, the Chinese outfit fields two cars. The international crew won the first two rounds but the Malaysian crew triumphed last weekend in Thailand, fuelling its ambition to compete at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Although fielded by the same manufacturer, the two crews are ranked separately and either could earn the team a precious ticket to Le Mans. It would be their second invitation, Jackie Chan DC Racing’s LMP2 title at the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours entailing direct qualification. Don’t miss the race on 4 February when the home crowd will be rooting for the Malaysian crew. The entry list for the next Le Mans 24 Hours will be announced on 9 February!
