The 4 Hours of Portimão this weekend will mark the end of the 2020 European Le Mans Series season with several teams still contenders for the titles in the LMP3 and LMGTE.
While the LMP2 team and driver titles were secured at the Monza round by United Autosports and Filipe Albuquerque/Phil Hanson, the LMP3 and LMGTE titles are up for grabs at this weekend's 4 Hours of Portimão.
In the LMP3 class, three teams are in the running: United Autosports, Inter Europol Competition and Realteam Racing. All three will field a Ligier JS P320-Nissan and only 18 points separate the trio.
Kessel Racing's #74 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo and Proton Competition's #77 Porsche 911 RSR-19 will square off for the title in the LMGTE class. The Iron Lynx team, third in the provisional standings, has the potential to climb to second place.
Two invitations to take the start in the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans will be awarded to the top two teams in the final LMP2 classification (United Autosports and Graff will go head to head for the second invitation), one invitation will be granted to the winner in LMP3 and two for first and second place in LMGTE.
