24 Hours of Le Mans – Corvette Racing (LMGTE Pro)

This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans sees a record number of entrants on the grid. We take a look at the 43 teams behind the 62 cars in the field. Here we give you the lowdown on LMGTE Pro team Corvette Racing.

Team: Corvette Racing

Class: LMGTE Pro

Cars and Drivers:

#63 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R

  • Jan Magnussen
  • Antonio Garcia
  • Mike Rockenfeller

#64 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R

  • Oliver Gavin
  • Tommy Milner
  • Marcel Fässler

Team Achievements:

Present every year since 2000, the Corvette Racing team has won eight class victories with three different cars in 19 participations. For their second appearance, Doug Fehan's crew scored a one-two in its class, and even finished fourth overall in 2006 for their fifth class win. Since 2015 - and a hard-won triumph when only one C7.R took the start after an accident during qualifying eliminated the team's other car - victory has evaded Corvette in France despite its overwhelming success since 2016 in the American endurance championship.

Team Goals at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans:

Despite the efforts of two previous overall winners, Marcel Fässler and Mike Rockenfeller, the two "Vettes" failed to win in 2018. But after they clocked the first and third times in LMGTE Pro at Test Day in early June, hope is alive for the team's six drivers (all two-time winners or more).
